9 اوت روز جهانی بومیان جهان است.مردم بومی یکی از آسیب پذیر ترین جمعیت جهان هستند. این روز بین المللی فرصتی است برای بالا بردن آگاهی عمومی از وضعیت دشوار آنها، به خصوص در رابطه با مهاجرت، که موضوع روز در سال 2018 است.

مردم بومی اکنون به طور مکرر در معرض مهاجرت اجباری قرار دارند که اغلب به علت بلایای زیست محیطی یا منازعات سیاسی و اجتماعی است. آنها از سرزمین هایشان رانده می شوند، شیوه زندگی خود را می بینند و فرهنگ ها تجزیه و تقسیم می شوند، و اغلب بدون چشم انداز بازگشت.

در یونسکو ما با مردم بومی کار می کنیم تا به آنها کمک کنیم تا چالش های پیش رو را برآورده سازند، در راستای برنامه 2030 سازمان ملل متحد برای توسعه پایدار، و ما نیز بر روی انسجام و تنوع تمرکز می کنیم تا به آنها در مبارزه با انواع اشکال تبعیض کمک کنیم.

 9August is International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples.

Indigenous peoples are among the most vulnerable populations in the world. This International Day is an opportunity to raise public awareness of their precarious situation, particularly in relation to migration, which is the Day's theme in 2018.

Indigenous peoples are now increasingly exposed to forced migrations, which are often the result of environmental disasters or social and political conflicts. Driven from their territories, they see their lifestyles and cultures disintegrate and vanish, often without any prospect of returning.

At UNESCO we are working with indigenous peoples to help them to meet the challenges ahead, in line with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and we are also focusing on inclusion and diversity to help them to combat all forms of discrimination.
